Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny brought the girls scooters. I'm constantly amazed at how physical Gemma is. She is riding her scooter very well. She also amazed us this morning by taking the eggs out of her basket one at a time and counting them. There were 6 eggs. What brilliant children we have!

ER Visit

Spent 3 hours in the ER last night with Gemma. I hate sick kids. I feel like I never know what to do for them. This is how it all started... Brian and I came home from our date early on Saturday night because she was cranky and wouldn't eat dinner. Sunday morning, she woke up happy and acted normal (jumping on the trampoline etc). By 10:00, she had a fever of 103.5. Gave her the usual combination of Tylenol followed up by Ibuprofen. She wouldn't eat lunch and I put her down for a nap. When she woke up she was really hot and still had a fever of over 103. Gave her more Tylenol and it only got her fever down to 102.6. About 6:00 she told me that it hurt to walk and I went into full panic mode. Brian was nearly home so I waited for him to get home and we took her to the Hospital. By the time we got there her fever was 104.72 We still aren't sure what is wrong. She had inflammation in her throat. We came home at 10:30 with an Antibiotic, Zyrtec, Tylenol and Ibuprofen (the later two in suppository form). This morning she still has a fever of 103.5 and threw up in our bed. Yippee! She is lacking about 4 hours of sleep but still got up at 6am. I'm thinking this is not going to be a fun day. :(

Typical???

Here is a typical conversation between me and Maya,

Kim: Maya, You know I don't like silliness at the dinner table.
Maya: So!
Kim: Did you just say so to me?
Maya: No...... I said.........um......Salt
Kim: It sounded like you said so.
Maya: I may have said so, I have have said salt. No one knows for sure.

She is going to push me over the edge!
