The faces of HFM

These are the faces of Hand Foot and Mouth. What is that you say? That is a good question. I didn't know until Thursday night myself. My girlfriend called to say that her son was sent home from school because of it. Of course it is contagious. Within 2 hours Maya was crying with a fever of 103. Saturday she broke out with the spots. Last night Gem started with the fever but as a added bonus is also vomiting. She threw up all over me several times and once in her bed. We were up until 3:30am. Maya has the spots on her face, hands, arms and feet. Gem has one dot by her eye but I'm waiting for more. The best thing you ask? It lasts for 7 days! That means we can't go out and can't do anything on Maya's birthday. What a bummer!

Moment of Truth

Yes! The diet works. And to be honest, it really wasn't that hard. I didn't get tired of eating the soup I just got tired of making it! I lost just under 9 pounds. I also lost 1/2 inch off my waist, 1/2 inch off my hips and 1/2 inch off my arms!

My girlfriend gave me the diet and I did some searching on the internet and it is just the cabbage soup diet. So any of you interested in doing it can go to www.cabbage-soup-diet.com . We are really excited about our results and will be taking today off and going right back on it again tomorrow. Yahoo!

Diet Friday

Brian, Talya and I are all starting a new diet today. My girlfriend did it last week and lost 8 pounds & her mother lost 7. It is basically a vege soup that you make up and eat most of the time add in some fruit, more vegies and on two days meat. Wish us luck and anyone interested in the diet can just let me know! Will update you on our progress next Friday!

Wake Up Call

I've completely avoided weighing in for the last several weeks. I stopped working out when Saundra and Talya got here. Combine that with eating what ever I wanted not a good mix! My little tracker up there should show a negative number. Boy do I have work to do. So I'm going to get off the computer, fix my girls breakfast and get my hiney to the gym!
