Playhouse

I'm posting this mainly to blow Monica's mind. (She doesn't think I do anything with a sewing machine!) Anyway, we have this really strange place under our stairs in the living room/dining room. It is basically wasted space so I made it into the kids play place when we moved in. They keep asking me to hang blankets and things so they can have a fort in there. So that got my wheels turning. I decided to try to make that space into a playhouse. It was cuter and better sewn in my mind, but I made it for them out of love. Now onto the other side....

The Little Things

I've come to realize that it is the smallest things in life that truly make us happy. Having two straight days where the girls play nicely with each other without fighting and finding BAGELS at the grocery store after a year of searching. The girls were so excited about the bagels (magels) they ate them for lunch.

Yea, Life is good.

Fun Trip

Wow, we had a great trip. But it is also great to come home. I can't believe we will only be here for 6 days until the girls and I have to do it all over again but 3 times longer. Someone kill me! Where is Saundra when I need her? She is what made it bearable when we came here last summer. Oh well.

Posted a bunch of pics on the slide show. Make sure to hover with your cursor over the pic so you can see the captions. Then you will know why there is a pic of the Burger King drive thru menu. Can I get one of those in my kids meal?

Budapest

We drove down to Budapest yesterday, wow, what a city. You could spend weeks there and still not see everything. I am in LOVE with this city. Today was back to Vienna. Sadly tomorrow is our last day in Bratislava and then it is back to Germany and Amsterdam. Will try to post some pictures tonight after the little ones go to sleep!

Vienna

We spent the day in Vienna yesterday. Once again the girls were really good. We sent to the Strombrunn Palace. We spent 5 hours there and still didn't see everything. They had a play place for the children and a zoo on the palace grounds. What an amazing place. Maya did announce that I was not the perfect mother (what a surprise is she just now figuring that out?) and she was no longer my kid. When I told her I understood and kissed her goodbye and wished her luck on her quest to find the perfect mother she decided I would be OK to stay with while she looked for her. Lucky me. What do I do when she figures out that Oba is the perfect mother and wants to stay with her? Humm must cancel trip to Utah.

We are Here!

We just arrived in Bratislava Slovakia. What a trip. The little ones were so good. We lucked out and got two rows of 4 seats each on the plane. Both girls were able to lay down and sleep. Which was great because we left Doha at 11pm and arrived in Amsterdam at 6am. We then got in the rental car and drove to Nurmberg Germany. The German countryside is so beautiful. We got a cute little 2 bedroom apartment in Bratislava and are getting settled in. We are now off to the grocery store to feed the girls dinner and then to bed. Will try to post pictures soon.
